By the decision of the Government of Georgia Covid-19 vaccines will become available for the population residing in Georgia’s occupied regions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia.

Henceforth, medical personnel residing in the occupied regions of Georgia will be able to get vaccinated along with individuals of the eligible age-group on Georgian-controlled territory.
The dire humanitarian situation in the occupied regions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia was further exacerbated by the pandemic with the availability of vaccines within the programme proposed by the Government of Georgia elevating the hardships faced by the aforementioned people, along with curbing the spread of the virus.
This decision made by the Government of Georgia come as another good example of how important it is for us to take care of the people residing across the occupation line, including them in programmes and projects made available to the Georgian public by the state.
